Article: The Distance Of Two Hearts

One day, a professor ask a question in class:
" Why do we have to yell at someone when we are angry?"

It took the student very long until one came up with an answer:
" It is because we have loss our "calmness", that's why we yell."

The professor ask again:
" Isn't that person you are mad at just beside you? Could you not speak softer instead of yelling? Why do you always have to yell?"

The students then gave him all sorts of answer in which none has satisfy the professor. Then, the professor said:
" When two person is in a fight, distance of the heart is very far away. In order to cover the distance so that he/she will hear you, we need to yell. In the mean time, yelling create greater distance between them, and the greater the distance, the louder you yell..."

The professor pause for a while then continue:
"What about two person in love? The condition is just the opposite, not only that they will not yell but they whispered into each other's ears. And why is that? Because their hearts are very close, there is no gap between these two hearts. So they only have to whisper softly but the love in their hearts grew deeper. At one point, they don't even have to whisper anymore. Just one glance and you already know, cause distance between the heart is none existence by then..."

Lastly before he dismissed the class, he told the students:
"When two person are fighting, do no let the distance between the hearts gets bigger. Most of all, do not say something that sets the hearts further apart. Let the emotion settle down, even if you have to wait a few day, when the distance of the hearts is not so far apart, then only you TALK!!"
