Did You Know The 25 -Est In The World: #8 The Highest Amount Of Water Flowing River

The Amazon River might not be the longest (Nile is) but it definitely has the largest amount of water flowing down it at one time. The Amazon produces approximately 20 percent of all the water that the world's rivers pour into the oceans on its own.

The Amazon is between six to ten km wide, starting from Iquitos in Peru, winding all the way across Brazil to the Atlantic. It will be even wider when it is flooded in rainy seasons. more...
