The Iguaçu Falls or Iguazu Falls located at the Border of Brazil and Argentina, divided the river into upper and lower Iguazu. The whole waterfall is in a shape of a horseshoe, 82 m in height and falls along 2.7 km of the Iguazu river.

Picture above shows the Devils throat from the Brazilian side. The most impressive of all 270 falls, measuring 150 m wide and 700 m long. However, most of the falls is within the border of Argentina.

Legend has it that a god planned to marry a beautiful aborigine named
Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover
Tarobá in a canoe. In rage, the god sliced the river creating the waterfalls, condemning the lovers to an eternal fall.

It is also 4 times wider than the Niagara falls and a little wider than Victoria Falls in Africa, the largest waterfall in the world.
